Tamara Mitrović

Tamara Mitrovic, soprano,  was born in 1997 in Smederevska Palanka, where she started and finished education at the “Bozidar Trudic” music school, piano department. Then in 2014, she enrolled junior music school, and then “Josif Marinkovic” high school in Belgrade, department opera singing, where she graduated in 2018.

She continued her education for opera singing at the Faculty of Music in Nis. After two years of study, she transferred to the Academy of Music in Belgrade, in Katarina Jovanovic’s class. She is currently a master student in Belgrade.

She is also a participant in the “MOTO” project “Opera: Past, Present, Perfect!”, on which she collaborated with Srboljub Dinic. She also collaborated with the soprano of the New York Metropolitan Opera, Olga Makarina, at the “Rossi” festival in August 2021, and won the third prize at the Mozart competition of the mentioned festival. She also collaborates with the “Braca Baruh” choir, under the leadership of Stefan Zekic.

In June 2021, she participated in the premiere performance of Miroljub Arandjelovic Rasinski’s opera “Lazarevo obretenije” in Krusevac, in the role of Teodora and as a member of the choir.

She made her debut in the opera “Così fan tutte” in the role of Despina, organized by the Opera Studio of the Faculty of Music in October 2021, as well as in April 2022 in the opera “Suor Angelica” for the premiere as Suor Genovieff.

In September 2022, as part of the “MOTO” organization, she premiered the roles of Sammy and Hughie in the opera for children and adults “Let’s make an opera – The little Sweep”

In October 2022, she will perform the opera “Deca” in 17 songs by Irena Popovic Dragovic, based on the novel of the same name by Milena Markovic.

Since 2021, she occasionally works as a substitute teacher of opera singing in the aforementioned music school “Josif Marinkovic” in Belgrade.

She is also the winner of national and international competitions in opera singing, chamber music, musical forms and harmony. She performed at various concerts as a soloist and as a soloist in a choir.
