Olivera Gočanin grew up in Odžaci, where she began her singing studies at the “Petar Konjović” music school in Sombor in the class of prof. Milica Majstorac. She continued her education in Belgrade where she graduated from the “Mokranjac” music high school in the class of prof. Valentina Taškova.
She was a member of choir ensembles at the MADLENIANUM Opera and Theatre, where she also made her debut as the Second Lady in W. A. Mozart’s opera “Die Zauberflöte” and in the role of Elisetta in the opera “Il matrimonio segreto” by Domenico Cimarosa at the Opera Studio in Madlenianum.
As a member of the project “Opera: past, present, perfect!” within the MOTO organization she made her debut in the role of a child in the opera “Dečja soba” by M. Živković, in the role of Stanka from S. Binički’s opera “Na uranku” and as Juliet Brook in “Let’s Make an Opera!/The Little Sweep” by Benjamin Britten.
She attended the masterclass of prof. Michèle Crider at The Mozarteum University in Salzburg within the International Summer Academy. She also participated in the Pehlivanian Opera Academy project 2022, where she had the opportunity to debut in the roles of Micaëla and Frasquita from the opera “Carmen” by G. Bizet in staged concert performances throughout Slovenia.
She is currently a student at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of prof. Aneta Ilić.
