Josić Nevena, soprano, born in 1993 in Belgrade, Serbia. She graduated from the Požarevačka gimnazija in 2012, and in 2013 she graduated from the School for Primary and Secondary Music Education Stevan Mokranjac in Požarevac in the class of Marta Blagojević. In 2013, she started the Faculty of Music in Belgrade at the Department of Solo Singing in the class of Aneta Ilić. She is currently studying for a Master’s degree in singing at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in the class of Pija Brodnik.
She won the second prize at the International Competition Iuventus Canti in Slovakia in 2012 and also she won the first and special prize of the Operosa Opera Festival at the International competition Lazar Jovanović in 2013. She made her debut in the role of Donna Anna in the opera Don Giovanni by the composer W. A. Mozart within the Bell’Opera organization in May 2021. In May 2022, she sang the role of a child in the children’s opera Dečja soba by the composer Milenko Živković at Vuk’s Council in Vuk’s House of Culture in Loznica as one of the participants of the project Opera: Past, Present, Perfect!
She attended masterclasses: Jennifer Larmour’s masterclass in Belgrade in 2016 as part of the Operosa Opera Festival; Masterclass of David Bižić in 2019 in Belgrade as part of the EVA organization; master workshops of Jagoš Marković organized within Moto organization and others. In 2021, she is employed as a solo singing teacher at the School for Primary and Secondary Music Education Stevan Mokranjac in Požarevac.
