Marija Zoroja

Marija Zoroja, born on 9th May 2000. in Belgrade, is currently a student of bachelor studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad where her professor is Staša Mirković Grujić and the assistant is Mina Momčilović Belić. She finished her elementary education in music school ‘’Josif Marinković’’ (Vršac), in class of the professor Tamara Dobranić and Hana Paraušić.

She finished music high school ‘’Mokranjac’’ as a best student in her generation where her harp professor was Dijana Sretenović.

During her career Marija performed on many concerts and participated in various regional as well as international competitions where she achieved many great results. Among the prizes she won the special ones are: 

-First prize on international competition ‘’Petar Konjović’’ (2022.)
– Second prize on international competition ‘’Diapason d’oro’’ Italy (2022.)
– Golden plaque at harp festival in Zrenjanin (2022.)
– First Prize at memorial ‘’Dušan Protić’’ (2019.)
– First prize on international competition ‘’Petar Konjović’’ (2019.)
– Third prize at National competition (2018.)
– First Prize at memorial ‘’Dušan Protić’’ (2018.)
– First prize at International music competition in Sweden (2017.)
– Second prize on international competition ‘’Petar Konjović’’ (2017.)
– First Prize at memorial ‘’Dušan Protić’’ (2017.)
– First prize at National competition and laureate (2016.)
– Golden plaque at 4th International competition of Slovene harp association (2016.)
– Golden plaque and special prize at International competition ‘’Svirel’’ Slovenia (2015.)

With chamber ensemble she won two second prizes at National competition (2016. and 2018.).

Marija was also awarded with the prize for amazing achievements in the field of arts by the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (2014.). In 2022 she also received an award from Univeristy in Novi Sad for achievements in 2021/2022 school year.

As a soloist she performed in many renowned concert halls, such as Ilija M. Kolarac endowment, museum ‘’Konkordija’’, National theatre ‘’Sterija’’, Belgrade city hall, Egység cultural station and Serbian embassy in London where she had the chance to play at the concert that was part of the festival ‘’Serbian month in Great Britain’’.

During the Belgrade harp festival she performed with the harp quartet Arabesque and played the premier of a piece Variations on a very familiar theme by Dimitrije Beljanski.

 As an orchestra player she was part of the Toppenkurset festival in Norway where she played in symphonic orchestra conducted by Nick Carthy.

Since March 2021. as a harpist she is a part of the project ‘’Opera: Past, Present, Perfect!’’ in the organization of Music, Opera and Theater Organization MOTO which is Co-funded by the Creative Europe.

 She also attended master classes of renowned harpist such as Emanuela Degli Esposti, Nicoletta Sanzin, Alexandr Boldachev, Remy van Kesteren, Catrin Finch, Ion Ivan Roncea, Lenka Petrović and Joel von Lerber.
