Jovana Mijin, master of music performanse – violin was born in 1997, in Belgrade, Serbia.
She received her primary and secondary musical education at the Music School ,,Kosta Manojlović” in Zemun, and the Music School ,,Josip Slavenski” in Belgrade, in the class of Marijana Ilić. She completed her basic and master academic studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, graduating in the class of Robert Lakatoš. Awards won during schooling:
Competition ,,Mali Virtuoz” 3rd prize (2004),
Republic competition ,,Petar Konjović” 1st prize (2006 and 2008), International String Festival ,,String Fest” in Sremska Mitrovica 3rd prize (2014),
Laureate at the international chamber music festival ,,Isidor Bajić” in Novi Sad 2017, with the trio ,,La barzalletta” in the class of prof. Timea Kalmar, Laureate at the international chamber music festival ,,Isidor Bajić” in Novi Sad in 2019, with the trio ,,Papillon” in the class of prof. Aleksandra Krčmar – Ćulibrk.
She started with her first job in 2019, at the ,,Petar Krančević” music school in Sremska Mitrovica, as a substitute violin teacher. She is currently employed at the ,,Kosta Vujić” grade school in Zemun as a music teacher, as well as the coordinator and conductor of extracurricular music classes. She performed at concerts as a member of the Robert Lakatoš Chamber Orchestra, the Festival Orchestra of the Kotor Art Festival in Montenegro, member of the opera ensamble of the Serbian National Theater in the ,,Rock Opera” project in Novi Sad, the trio ,,La barzalletta”, the trio ,,Papillon” and the string quartet ,,Stelaris”. She is a member of the musical opera theater organization ,,MOTO”, within which she has performed as a member of the orchestra for the opera ,,Children’s Room” by Milenko Živković and ,,Let’s make an opera/Little Chimney” by Benjamin Britten.
